Welcome to the TEAM Research website
The TEAM Research Campaign raises funds for the medical research programmes of the Northwick Park Institute for Medical Research (NPIMR), including tissue engineering, wound healing and children's burns. You can find more information on NPIMR by clicking on the "Our Research" page of this website.
NPIMR also carries out research in other diseases such as bowel cancer, coronary artery disease, and sickle cell disease. You can find our more information on this in the "Partnerships" section of this website.
Your support and assistance is urgently needed to help us further develop new technologies that will improve the lives of people everywhere.
Terry Venables, Chairman, TEAM Research

The TEAM Research Campaign has made a real difference to our work at NPIMR, particularly in the department of novel repair materials for reconstructing skin, cartilage, blood vessels, tendon and bladder.
This year our fundraising efforts are targeted on our development of artificial skin matrices to help those suffering from severe burns injury, especially scalds in very young children. Traditional treatments with skin grafts from other parts of the body often result in long term scarring. The resultant psychological problems can be devastating throughout the child’s life. In many cases, they are ugly, irritating, even painful, and always uncomfortable. This is not simply during the healing process but persists every single day, even after the treatment has been completed. Recent developments in our TEAM Research laboratories give real hope that we can develop new treatments without these long term faults.
Terry has been helping us by leading his TEAM Research Campaign for several years now. We at Northwick Park hope that you will join him in supporting our work.
Professor Colin Green, Director, NPIMR
